Did you have as much of a Sunday Funday as we did? If you spent your afternoon on the ave with Divas with the Details at Loft on Passyunk, we guarantee you did! Our exclusive sip and soiree event went off without a hitch. The day boasted bites, booze, bachata, and booths from some of our absolute favorite vendors. Maybe you were lucky enough to recruit your dream events team for your big day!
You were sure to feel welcomed and dazzled upon entering the first floor of Loft on Passyunk, greeted by our smiling Divas and the opportunity to sign up for the highly acclaimed door prize, a gift-card for Divas with the Details and Loft on Passyunk. The modern industrial style of the space, combined with simple yet bright and striking florals by Something Borrowed Florals, made for a fun and fresh atmosphere. After a quick moment to take it all in, you might have hung a left and headed for the impressive bar, fully stocked and staffed by Delaware Valley Beverage Services. Whether you were craving a sweet soda, or even something stronger, there was a signature drink for everyone and the staff worked quickly and efficiently to meet your needs. While enjoying your beverage, you would have likely taken note of Tori Mengel as she showcased her artistic talents, painting the beautiful venue space and displaying numerous small couple portraits from her portfolio.
After admiring the art, you might have decided to take a turn around the space and visit the booths of each of our other amazing vendors. Afterglow quite literally lit up (part of) the room with their lightning bolt neon sign, illuminating countless exquisite options for permanent jewelry at their booth. They offered rings, bracelets, necklaces, and even anklets in either sterling silver or plated gold. Luckily, you had the opportunity to show off your new permanent jewelry right next door in front of 333 Soiree’s beautiful photo backdrop, overflowing with whimsical and bubbly balloons! With the wonderful Lauren Allmond Photography available to snap a picture of you, this turned out to be a great spot for a photo op. After photos, you and your guests would have had the opportunity to float amongst the space and mingle, all while enjoying Rock It Entertainment’s upbeat tunes and fantastic live drum performance.
At this point after a few sips of wine you might have realized: “I need something to snack on.” I know that’s where my mind immediately went! Thankfully, Noir Restaurant & Bar provided the most delightful options of arancini balls and orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage. It was warm, comforting, and insanely delicious. Paired with a sweet slice of lemon poppyseed or espresso martini cake provided by Whoa! Factor Pastries, you would have been set and highly satisfied, and completed your tour of the first floor. But there was more!
A beautifully decorated staircase climb would have led you to the second level of Loft on Passyunk, and so many more amazing vendors. The soft pleasant sound of smooth jazz filled the room, compliments of Terry and Paul Klinefelter on keyboard and bass respectively, creating a relaxed atmosphere. You would have been almost immediately greeted by the attentive Kristyn Vrabel, owner of Krys Marie Designs. As her speciality lies in custom clothing design and alterations, Kristyn was offering to take measurements for free. Whether you are a future bride or groom, a bridesmaid, or anyone in need of custom tailoring, this was especially helpful!
Continuing your journey around the room, you may have happened upon Joshua’s catering for some more delicious bites, including shrimp with pineapple salsa in mini martini glasses, a trio of hummus, and Moroccan couscous salad. After you’d had your fill of appetizers, you might have been ready for the main lunch event: cheesesteaks, courtesy of Declo Steaks! And what’s better after a full meal than a nice sweet treat? Thankfully, Delicious Sweets was right next door to offer little cannolis, as well as red velvet and carrot cake parfaits.
Feeling full and incredibly content, you would wander on over to another vendor booth. We just know you’d be intrigued to find Inner Light Aura Photography waiting to welcome you with their unique offering: a technicolor polaroid that revealed your vibrant energy and the color(s) of your aura! But wait, that's not all. Along with your photograph, you also received an informative aura guide sheet, and even had the option to receive a custom, live aura interpretation from the aura reader! You would have left the booth with your eyes opened to the energy you give off to the world. Of course the best way to utilize this newfound energy was with the last featured vendor: a photo booth provided by Proparazzi! With incredible lighting, a gorgeous flower wall, and countless accessories to adorn yourself with, this was the perfect spot to unleash your fun side and snap some pics!
The good times rolled on as it was time for the free bachata dance lesson, run by no other than the owner of Loft on Passyunk, which also doubles as the Society Hill Dance Academy, Shana! As you made your way back downstairs, you would have immediately noticed the excitement and anticipation that everyone was emitting as the dance floor filled up. With the help of her wonderful dance team, David and Masha, Shana coached all participants, from experienced to novice, in the basics of the bachata. If you were anything like me, you would have felt like a pro by the end. Luckily, we had the help of our photographer, and videographer, NuNarrativ Films, to capture every spectacular moment. They didn’t miss a beat!
We are incredibly tickled to have had such a successful first event! So many of our favorite moments came from simply being around friends and loved ones, both new and old, and creating memories and bonds to last a lifetime. And we can’t wait to do it all again at our next event! To view even more memories from this awesome day, click here.
